The Conservation Finance Alliance hosted the Conservation Finance Pavilion at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille in September, 2021. Through a wide range of well attended sessions, the pavilion offered an effective platform to raise awareness, encourage innovation, and build capacity in conservation finance. The Conservation Finance Pavilion was a collaboration of all CFA members with special support from MAVA Foundation, KfW, FFEM, CPIC, and WCS.
Amílcar Guzmán, from Wolfs Company, gave presentations and joined interesting discussion panels about the 2020 Practice Standards for Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs; download the Practice Standards here), the ‘CTFs 2020: Global Vision, Local Action’ study (report available here) and Costa Rica’s Forever Blue Fund. You can watch the recordings of these sessions below.
